Recovery conditional grant funding administered through the Alberta Emergency Management Agency is aimed to provide assistance municipalities across the province for non-insurable loss and damage caused by natural hazards.
This session is targeted for community leaders, emergency management practitioners, financial administrators, and researchers, intending to provide its audience:
  •  An introduction to recovery;
  •  A history of the Recovery Branch;
  • What is a triggering event?;
  • Damage assessment and application criteria; and
  • An overview of the Disaster Recovery Committee and the program approval process and time lines.
